The Callide Valley
R/C Car Club, located behind the Biloela P.C.Y.C. on Valentine
Plains Rd, is without a doubt one of the best R/C model car clubs
in the Central Queensland area having a good atmosphere and superb
facilities. With both a purpose-built outdoor synthetic fibre
& cement track that is under lights and a large outdoor offroad
racing venue, it caters for most classes of radio controlled cars.
We currently have approximately 30 members who race 1/10th cars
& 1/8th buggies.
The club was started in December 1999 by four enthusiasts with
an idea to give the people of the local community a venue to race
as before the track was founded, the closest venue was 160km away.
With a bit of a hand from the local business's and a few great
sponsors the track was finally finshed 6 months after starting.
We are currently catering for 1/10th Onroad: Stock Electric, Club Spec Electric,
Nitro Tourers: 1/8th
Offroad: Buggies,
Trucks:
1/10th Offroad: Electric Buggies, Nitro Buggies.
The club has it's own computerised lap scoring (Alycat
Ver 8) with the purchase of Transponders scheduled for the Year
2001.
